NUEVO AMANECER CHURCH

Nuevo Amanecer Church has a rich history and deep roots in the commencement of Hispanic ministry in the state of Kentucky.

In the early 1990’s local ministry leaders within the baptist convention began reaching out to Hispanic migrant workers. Nuevo Amanecer was born from their fruitful ministry. Many great leaders, missionaries, and pastors, that include Rick Lucas, Chris White, Tommy Purvis, Jesus Pacheco, Augustine Reyes, Luis Salazar, Aquilena Rodríguez, and Brad White (who named the ministry Nuevo Amanecer), were fundamental in the establishment of this ministry. Nuevo Amanecer was constituted as a church under the leadership of Jon Young, who served as pastor of the church for nearly 10 years. We are grateful for each and every one of these leaders and their families, for laying the foundation of the ministry we have the honor and privilege of leading today.

In 2018, Nuevo Amanecer Church relaunched in the East end of Louisville, as a multicultural, multi-language ministry under the leadership of pastor Anibal Figueroa. Our format includes bilingual worship and prayer throughout the service and a sermon preached in English. The vision of English sermons and bi-lingual worship is to focus on reaching multicultural families and the next generation of bilingual Latin Americans.

We are very proud of our past and excited about what God has in store for our future.
We are honored to continue carrying out the call of the Gospel by Bridging the Gap between Christ and all people.
